How to handle same-day turnovers without breaking a sweat
A four-hour turnover is manageable when the decisions were made before checkout day.
Start before the day starts
The cleaner should already be assigned and confirmed. The checklist should match the property. Supplies should have a reorder point. A backup should exist before the main cleaner becomes unavailable.
Make the handoff visible
Checkout status, cleaner arrival, checklist photos, and readiness should be recorded in one place. If the cleaner is late, the person coordinating needs to know early enough to change the plan.
Do not inspect by hope
Photos are not busywork. They are the quickest remote check that beds are ready, supplies are present, and obvious damage has been noticed before the next guest arrives.
